The green jetty in Sandy Bay has become a bit of an icon over the years. I first planned to paint the olive roofs under a cloudy morning sky, the violet reds in the background played nicely off the green. But on the last session, the sun unexpectedly broke through (despite the forecast), and everything changed. I decided to go with it and rework the scene to show the sharp blues of the water catching the morning light.
